Takachiho Gorge

Takachiho Gorge is characterized by its 100 meter-high walls of basalt rock. The site is accessible on foot or by boat. If you choose to explore the site by boat, you can admire the view of the blue-green water, the vertical cliffs which boarder the canal, and the trees on top of the cliffs.

Yet, if you choose walking, you can enjoy the spectacular view from the top. It is a wonderful sight because of the dark and green mosses on the cliff walls. The site is even more mesmerizing because of the Minainotaki cascades, which fall into the canal.

Tojaidi Temple Tojaidi

Temple is a famous landmark, and is among the oldest temples in Japan. This greatest wooden temple was built in 752 and it had a great influence on the Japanese government. The giant statue of Buddha adds focus to this iconic temple.

San'in Coast-lgumi
